Diwali celebrations

As a RWA official, I initiated a task to have a great Diwali celebrations. The plans were chalked down by me, Bhaiya, Deepak B., Sunil Ji, Manoj Jain saab and further, many people joined us.

The overall organization planned were split in two days and the tentative program planned were as follows -

24th October 2011.
  • 05:30 – 06:30 PM   : Rangoli competition, Pottery decoration
  • EGM (Riviera lawns, Mughal Garden).
  • 06:00 PM   : Decoration of Eldeco by Residents by Diyas
  • 06:40 – 07:00 PM   : Debates on pre-defined topics
  • Participation of children <12 yrs and 12>=<16 Yrs.
  • 07:00 PM   : Fate by Eldeco residents. (Stalls by residents of games, food and craft).
  • 07: 15 PM   : Cultural nights @EGM (by residents, any)
  • Choreography, dance (solo/group)
  • Skits
  • Mimicry, Mono-acting
  • 09:00 PM : Fun with Food

25th October 2011.
  • 05:30 PM   : “Hawan” for peace and prosperity at Eldeco
  •  06:30 PM   : Short movie on Deepawali at 7:00 PM.
  •  06:45 – 08:30 PM : Rajsthani Folk Music event
  •  08:45 – 09:00 PM : Bursting crackers (Tentative)
  •  09:00 PM   : Dinner Eldeco residents.
           (followed by prize distribution and fun games like Tambola etc. )

The program was organized in a way to let residents participate in all the events. The idea was to invite all the children of society of almost every age and also, all the residents willing to contribute in cultural events and participate in different form of arts.

Next day was a day for world class artist, Bhaiya helped us to invite Ustad Rahmat Khan Langa, a great Rajsthani folk singer who mesmerized us 25th evening.


Overall, we had fabulous evenings while Diwali celebrations. I intend to continue similar spirit and encourage residents to partcipate in such events. We shall have next blasts during new year....
